Motor vehicle accidents: 4 injured in multiple-car collision

Just the thought of being involved in a collision is enough to set one's teeth on edge. Actually being in a crash can be far worse, as motor vehicle accidents have the potential to leave everyone involved with serious injuries. Four individuals were taken to a medical facility for treatment following a recent multiple-car collision involving a suspected drunk driver in Oregon.

Law enforcement agents advised that the accident took place at around 3:30 a.m. on a recent Saturday. Initial investigations indicate that a man was driving his vehicle in the wrong lane of traffic when his vehicle suddenly struck another car before overturning and coming to a rest on its roof. The driver of a nearby truck was reportedly unable to avoid collision and struck one of the vehicles shortly thereafter.

Police have advised that the three drivers and a passenger in one of the vehicles were all taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. They have also advised that the driver who caused the collision was placed under arrest on suspicion of impairment shortly thereafter. In addition to being accused of drunk driving, he is also facing charges for reckless driving and endangerment of safety.

Motor vehicle accidents involving drunk drivers can have cataclysmic consequences. Those who suffer serious injuries due to the actions of another party could choose to speak with an attorney for guidance in pursuing accountability in civil court. An attorney in Oregon can examine a client's injuries and financial needs and assist in pursuing the restitution deserved through a personal injury claim against the party deemed at fault.
